Having been present for Caryl's first session behind the lens, Mac has had the honor of watching Caryl's growth-- professionally and personally-- for over 17 years. When the studio opened in 2020, Mac jumped at the chance to get involved. A Jack of All Trades, Mac's work with the studio has ranged from Administrative Assistant to Studio Manager to Client Relations Management. Moving out of state did nothing to stop them from being a part of Caryl's mission and vision; they just handle things remotely now.
Aside from CLB, Mac works in the security industry and co-owns a metaphysical shop and spiritual center. They are a passionate advocate for marginalized communities and quick to stand up against injustice. Mac loves to share their knowledge and empower others to live as their most authentic selves. They currently live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia with their aptly-named cat, Chaos.
With over 17 years of professional photography experience, Caryl found her true calling in 2020 when a deeply transformative boudoir session changed her life. That powerful experience led her to open her own studio in the heart of downtown Prattville, where she has since empowered over 300 clients to embrace and love the skin they’re in.
As a complex trauma and eating disorder survivor, Caryl has developed a unique approach called Ethical Boudoir. This method is built on a foundation of trust, safety, and compassion, ensuring that every client feels truly seen, heard, and supported throughout their experience. For those needing extra guidance on their journey to self-love, she also offers 1:1 coaching to help clients heal and thrive.
Caryl is not just a photographer but a passionate advocate. As the co-founder and Vice President of Prattville Pride, she uses her voice and her art to uplift and protect marginalized communities. Whether it’s through her lens, her activism, or her private Facebook group for women and Queerfolx, she blends creativity and advocacy to inspire radical self-acceptance and healing.
Outside the studio, Caryl is a proud mom to three amazing children. She and her fiancé, Slade, share a home filled with joy, two rescue dogs, and four beloved cats.
At 36, AshleiAnne is a proud mom of 6, balancing her studies in Business Management with her dedication to serving marginalized communities. As a passionate member of the LGBTQ+ community, she understands the importance of representation, visibility, and inclusivity, which fuels her advocacy for equality, acceptance, and self-love.
Her journey with Caryl Lawson Boudoir began when she experienced her own life-changing session as a client. The experience was so empowering that she knew she had to be a part of the magic, helping others embrace their own beauty and confidence. Now, as our studio assistant and Marketing Manager, AshleiAnne brings her vibrant energy and deep commitment to our mission of empowerment and advocacy.
She served as the event organizer for our Inaugural Prattville Pride and is excited to continue her service to the community as a founding Prattville Pride Board member and Marketing Manager for Caryl Lawson Boudoir .
In addition to her professional roles, AshleiAnne is pursuing her Bachelor's degree, believing that education is a powerful tool for personal growth and social change. Her family and community inspire her daily, driving her to create a world where everyone feels seen, valued, and loved.
