Having been present for Caryl's first session behind the lens, Declan has had the honor of watching Caryl's growth-- professionally and personally-- for over 17 years. When the studio opened in 2020, Declan jumped at the chance to get involved. A Jack of All Trades, Declan's work with the studio has ranged from Administrative Assistant to Studio Manager to Client Relations Management. Moving out of state did nothing to stop them from being a part of Caryl's mission and vision; they just handle things remotely now.
Aside from CLB, Declan entertains crowds as a Drag King, Sterling Foxx. They are a passionate advocate for marginalized communities and quick to stand up against injustice. Declan loves to share their knowledge and empower others to live as their most authentic selves. They currently live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia with their aptly-named cat, Chaos.
With over 17 years of professional photography experience, Caryl found her true calling in the summer of 2020 when a deeply transformative boudoir session changed her life. That powerful experience led her to open her own studio in the heart of downtown Prattville in September 2020. After 5 years and over 400 clients, she has relocated her luxury studio to Historic Old Cloverdale in Montgomery, AL where she is excited to continue her work helping clients to embrace and love the skin they’re in.
As a complex trauma and eating disorder survivor, Caryl has developed a unique approach called Ethical Boudoir. This method is built on a foundation of trust, safety, and compassion, ensuring that every client feels truly seen, heard, and supported throughout their experience. For those needing extra guidance on their journey to self-love, she also offers 1:1 coaching to help clients heal and thrive.
Caryl is not just a photographer but a passionate advocate. As the co-founder and former President of Prattville Pride, she uses her voice and her art to uplift and protect marginalized communities. Whether it’s through her lens, her activism, or her private Facebook group for women and Queerfolx, she blends creativity and advocacy to inspire radical self-acceptance and healing.
Outside the studio, Caryl is a proud mom to three amazing children and several beloved fur babies.
